The first quarter of 2010 has been incredible for me. I’ve enjoyed DJ and MC work literally all over the country and have clocked up some astonishing kilometres in my car.

Because I need to take my gear with me, it’s most convenient to drive to my events. When choosing a vehicle for my work, I had to take this into consideration. Using a car too new would result in unacceptable depreciation losses. A van was ruled out because of the lack of comfort on long trips. I needed something comfortable, spacious, reliable, presentable, powerful and contemporary.

The 2003 Holden Berlina International V8 station wagon was a perfect fit and it’s been a brilliant car. In the first four months of 2010 I haven’t added up the mileage, but it’s certainly earned its keep! Here’s a map which shows most of the locations I’ve travelled to from 1st January to 11th April alone.

An incredibly good car for long distance travel with a decent load of gear on board.
