I was delighted to be booked by Phillip and Cheryl-Lee as their DJ, Master of Ceremonies for their wedding at Huka Falls Resort in Taupo. I also provided microphones and sound for their wedding ceremony, as well as music for their cocktails and canap├ęs while the wedding party were away having their pictures taken. Here’s a video montage of their day, which was shot by the incredible team from Moving Films and shows what a wonderful location Huka Falls Resort truly is.

We had a lot of fun, with personalised introductions for each of the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen, as well as for Phillip and Cheryl-Lee. The guests were happy, engaged and truly impressed by the day, especially those from Australia who commented over and over about how wonderful the venue, the scenery, the New Zealand food and the celebration was. Truly a day to remember! As you watch the video, look at the happy faces. You’ll catch a glimpse of DJ Richard hard at work from around 4:50 in, and see the start of the night’s dancing around 5:20.

Notice also the footage of people talking easily while the dancing is in full swing. That’s vital- that the DJ is loud enough for dancing, yet quiet enough for talking. Notice also that the DJ equipment isn’t a visual feature of the day. It is all there, but is extremely visually discreet, as it should be.
